Have you read the entire Bible?
“How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.”
~ Psalm 1:1–3 ~
The Bible is the greatest book ever written because it was written by the greatest Person in the universe… God! The Bible is a precious gift that enables us to know, love, and worship God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Yet many Christians don’t read the Bible each day or haven’t read through the entire Bible. One practical reason for this is a lack of planning—setting aside time each day to read and pray, and knowing where to read each day. Here are several Bible reading plans that will guide you through daily readings in God’s Word.
Discipleship Journal
Plan
Four daily readings in the Gospels, rest of the New Testament, Old Testament Wisdom Literature (Psalms, Proverbs, etc.), and rest of the Old Testament. There are 25 readings each month with “catch up” days at the end of each month.
Chronological
Bible Plan
Read through the Bible in the order the events occurred chronologically. There are 365 readings which will get you through the Bible in a year.
Straight Through
the Bible Plan
Read straight through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. There are 365 readings of about 3–5 chapters a day on average.
the Old Testament
Read through the entire Old Testament, from Genesis to Malachi. There are 365 readings of about 2–3 chapters a day on average.
The New Testament
Read through the entire New Testament, from Matthew to Revelation. There are 365 readings of a chapter a day.
